Classical Guitars
The classical guitar is the most common choice among people who are just starting out in learning to play the guitar. Its sound is very warm, used by professionals in lyrical pieces such as sung poetry. The classical guitar is also distinguished from acoustic guitars by nylon strings, which provide a warm and slightly quieter sound. Nylon strings are softer than the metal strings used in acoustics. This favors beginner guitarists, for whom catching chords, especially bar chords, is more comfortable. However, it should be remembered that the spacing of strings in classical guitars is greater than in acoustic guitars, which in turn makes it a bit more difficult to catch those more complicated chords. However, it is enough to familiarize yourself with the construction of a classical guitar, patiently practice playing, learn new chords, and playing a classical guitar will bring much joy – both to the guitarist himself and to those who listen to his playing.
What to know about classical guitars?
The classical guitar is an instrument with a soul. Those learning to play and those who have already mastered the art well often also reach for other guitars – acoustic, electric, and some even basses. However, there is no rule that learning to play this instrument should begin with a classical guitar. Inexperienced musicians often reach for this type of guitar because of its attractive price, wide availability and popularity. Many people are also persuaded by the nylon strings, which do not cause beginners pain, as is the case with acoustic guitars.
Classical guitars only with nylon strings
It should be noted that metal strings should not be used for classical guitars. They cause more tension on the neck, which in most cases breaks under excessive force. You should also put on the right strings, which are always marked with letters - E1, H2, G3, D4, A5, E6 and you should always put them on from the thinnest string, which is E1. Strings can be bought as a set or individually, and it's always good to have a supply of strings, especially for trips or social gatherings. Classical guitars differ in the wood they are made of, the size of the case, and some also have a distinctive cutaway. All this affects the sound of the guitar and the comfort of playing.
