Acoustic Guitars
The acoustic guitar is an extremely noble instrument. Its sound is very natural, expressive and loud. The acoustic guitar is more often chosen by people who already play classical guitars, although in recent years there has been more interest in the sound of the acoustic guitar both among beginner musicians and people who have been playing the guitar for a long time. The wonderful sound of the acoustic guitar makes many virtuosos reach for this type of guitar, giving concerts to the delight of professional musicians and non-musicians alike. One such virtuoso is Australian musician Tommy Emmmanuel, who mainly uses slapping and fingerstyle techniques.
Acoustic guitars with metal strings
Acoustic guitars differ from classical guitars in having a larger body and metal strings – these factors contribute to the sound of an acoustic guitar, which is louder and more expressive than classical guitars. Acoustic guitars are distinguished by their distinctive, powerful sound. Acoustic guitars use metal strings, which means that the musician has to use a little more force to play the desired chord. This can be a bit of a pain at first, especially with bar chords – especially since the acoustic guitar is "not forgiving of mistakes". This means that inaccurately pressing the strings to the threshold will always result in an unclean sound. On the other hand, smaller string spacing is an advantage. Most experienced guitarists say that it is easier to switch from an acoustic guitar to a classical guitar – by learning to play an acoustic guitar, one becomes a more versatile musician.
Acoustic guitars with different sounds
Among acoustic guitars there are several types: dreadnought, jumbo, grand auditorium, grand concert and model orchestra. They differ in the size of the sound box and the cutaways in the box, which results in greater possibilities for producing sounds in particular frequencies. Some offer greater capabilities at low frequencies, others at higher frequencies. In addition, they can be constructed with chordal or rhythmic playing in mind, although of course any guitar can be played both ways.
